The karst cave Westliche Brentenfelshöhle is located on the southwest slope of the Brentenfelsen in the Upper Palatinate district of Amberg-Sulzbach, about 1400 meters north-northwest of the center of the village of Döttenreuth in the community of Königstein in the state of Bavaria in Germany. In front of the entrance to the small cave there is a large rock gate (rock gate near Döttenreuth), immediately behind which lies the portal of the cave. This shows very little sinter decoration.
