The Hofen mill was built in 1710 by Friedrich Wilhelm from Schadeck to grind grain and oil. He had to pay water rent and was allowed to grind grain for everyone.
From 2010, Gernot Dorn and his son Lars have been running the mill as a restaurant, offering cakes on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 12 p.m., and as an event venue. There are also mill tours.

300-year-old mill in the Kerkerbach valley that generates electricity from hydropower. Very nice cafe with nice interiors and a beer garden in the courtyard. Usually open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 12 noon.
