The ideal starting point is, for example, the parking lot at the Itschenkrug restaurant, although it is not entirely clear whether the parking space is only reserved for visitors to the restaurant. Anyway, from here a partly graveled path leads through varied forest and meadow area to the Schwedenschanze, Stempelstell 22 of the Harzer Vorland.
