The Weinbiet-Loogstein gave the mountain "Weinbiet" its name.

This old boundary stone is about 30 m away from the hiking trail; a yellow PWV sign points to the appropriate path.
Supposedly they drank wine together here during border inspections. Other assumptions see the trough of a winepress in the sign that resembles a "G".

The following signs can be found on the bottom rock:
    - Deidesheimer Grenzzeichen: Cross with a bar at the bottom
    - Boundary sign Gimmeldingen/Haardt: Coat of arms with a diamond pattern and a small circle above it. (The coat of arms with the diamond pattern is the sign for the Electoral Palatinate, to which Gimmeldingen/Haardt belonged here; the coat of arms of Gimmeldingen differs only in that a small circle was placed above this coat of arms.)
    - a large character resembling a "G".

On the (later) erected stone next to the Bodenfelsen are the following signs: "CHR" (= Churpfalz-Holzrechte), the year "1755" and a cross with a bar at the bottom (Deidesheim border sign). The timber rights of the Electoral Palatinate in the Deidesheim Forest were practically stolen: the land does not belong to the Electoral Palatinate, but is Deidesheimer property!

There are many beautiful landmarks along the way. This Loogstein is a bit out of the way. And what is special is that there is still a flat stone on which some signs can be seen.
