Hiking

In 1893/1894 the racecourse for steeplechase or hunting races with wooden grandstands, restaurant, stables and training tracks was built, which was opened on May 9, 1894. In 1895, Carlshorst station was put into operation and a six-track terminus station was built next to the suburban platform specifically for racecourse visitors (listed). In 1935, the grandstand designed by Heinrich Straumer with 2,300 seats was inaugurated.
