The Keusenhof is first mentioned in 1375. In medieval times, the oldest building (now inhabited by Mrs. Neef) was a fiefdom. At that time, the owner was obliged to do military service for the sovereign. Later, in the 16th century, the fief was converted into a so-called saddle-goods.
