Fort VI is part of the Brialmont Belt. Work started in 1859 and construction was completed in 1864. Fort VI was part of the National Reduit Antwerp. The domain now houses part of the 'Drie Eiken' campus of the University of Antwerp and the Topsportschool. The Fort underwent many changes but most of the buildings retained their majestic appearance. The wet settlement moat is a paradise for recreational fishermen. For the walkers, a tour of Fort VI is enjoying military architecture and nature that takes back to eventually conquer.
