The newly built hut offers a wide view over Morbach to the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park, a picnic bench, a guest book and a first-aid kit that is regularly checked.According to an information board, this is one of the new shelters on the Saar-Hunsrück-Steige and was built with EU funds. However, the SHS is 10km away and it is only one of the 111 dream loops between the Moselle, Rhine and Nahe.
