This Bad Honnef chapel is dedicated to Saint Servatius. Exact biographical details about him are not known. He is said to have been born in Armenia at the beginning of the 4th century and died in Maastricht, the Netherlands, around 384. He probably became Bishop of Tongeren in 340. Servatius is known in popular piety as one of the three so-called "Ice Saints", together with Pancras and Boniface (in some areas also supplemented by "Cold Sophie" one day later). Saint Servatius's memorial day in the calendar of saints is May 13th.

"According to legend, the St. Servatius chapel was built by the lords of Löwenburg, because there a lady in the woods got lost and miraculously found their way back home, but it speaks against the fact that the chapel in the old Löwenburger official bills does not mention The chapel's patronal feast, however, no doubt suggests a very old age, and a first mention of the chapel can be found in a survey book from 1582, in which the so-called Servatiushof, belonging to the chapel, reported that its lease income was for the preservation of the chapel Chapel would be determined. First mentioned in 1582, in the chapel there are two statues of St. Servatius, the smaller one from the Gothic period, the larger one from the Baroque period.
