Hirseberg – R1 Granier Route Towards Burg Rabenstein

Easy to drive path to Hirseberg, then a gravel road for mountain bikers ideal for almost a kilometer, then a beautiful forest path, then you reach the border with Brandenburg, then this path is paved, you reach Klein Marzens, a beautiful place, you have to go behind Drive along the church, actually always on the symbol of the Rennsteig run from Wittenberg (Teuchel). The backyards in Klein Marzens are very nice. At the junction to the Millions Bridge you can decide, either you drive this path over cobblestones and over the bridge over the A9, this is the old path to Rabenstein Castle, pure adventure, or you drive the R1 straight from Klein Marzens (asphalted) straight ahead approx. 1.5 km under the A9 (bridge) to Rabenstein Castle. The trail is not that interesting in my opinion. So have fun all of you. The R1 can be used all year round, especially beautiful in spring to autumn.
