From the Rungenberg dump you have a great view of the area.
The top of the stockpile is divided into two individual pyramids, and two spotlights are attached to the top that emit a crossed light.
Of course only in the evening. The way up is barely feasible with the trekking bike. The path is partly made of rubble with a larger share of gravel.

The place described is the Rungenberg mine dump in Gelsenkirchen-Buer, which has been converted into a recreational area. The heap rises not far from the Schüngelberg colliery between the A2 motorway, Horster Strasse and Rungenbergstrasse to 115.3 meters above sea level and around 68 meters above the surrounding area. This makes it one of the highest heaps in the Ruhr area. Its base is approx. 56 ha. The dump is arched between the former Hugo I / IV and Hugo II / V / VIII pits.
