the church was a 15th century brick building. In 1945 the Wehrmacht blew up the church tower. This was followed by looting. After 1945 the ruin was used as a "quarry" by the local population. After the fall of the Wall, it was rebuilt, and in 2002 it was re-opened.

Looks quite nice with the restored fieldstone masonry and the damage probably intentionally preserved.
