The Reservoir, originally called "Barbrook Still", was constructed in 1882 by CUWW to provide water to people living in Chesterfield when the population boomed during the Industrial Revolution.

Carnt advise swimming here as many do. But ive seen dead sheep further up.

For those of hardy constitutions this spot is often used for swimming in the summer months. Open water, so if you do take a dip, take care.
