Sutton Scarsdale Hall. Heath and Temple Normanton hike🙂🚶♂️
A very nice but windy hike with my youngest son again. We were lucky enough to talk to a lady at Heath church who was in charge of a small group of lads who were paying back to the community by doing unpaid work in the graveyard. Many of the graves are surrounded in Daffodils & Primroses at the moment, they've done a great job. We also had great crack with a 91 yr old lady & her son who were putting flowers on her late husbands grave, she's as sharp as a tack🙂

Rudyard Lake & Cliffe Park Hall walk🙂🚶♂️🚶♂️
Last year I went to Cliffe park hall & had a nose around on the inside, I brought my youngest son to do the same but unfortunately and understandably it has been fenced off securely😶 I am pleased to see that work appears to be being done on the building hopefully to secure its future, as it really is a lovely building. We did find some other buildings to nose around in though🙂

@Peter It looks like a very interesting place, so many of our buildings falling into disrepair or falling down completely 😉

Holymoorside Pump House hike 🚶♂️🙂
I'd seen something somewhere about this pump house ages ago so planned a route to find it. It is very impressive with lots to look at although it is very boggy under foot so maybe a visit in summer after a day spell would be a good idea.

I went past that pumping station 2 or 3 years ago. You're right about it being boggy. It was flooded all around even in the middle of summer. 😅

Early morning walk to Barlow🚶♂️🙂
Mornings are the best part of day for me🙂 before the madness and the sirens start🫤Up at 6:00 out at 6:45 for a walk to Barlow. I even managed to beat the dog walkers one usually see at this time of day. I had a look around the outside of St Lawrence Church, interesting different bits of architecture to look at.🙂

@Peter Great looking walk and some beautiful countryside photos pal, the landowners will be getting bad luck still having Santa on display, they're not superstitious then 🤣🤣

Chilly morning wander🚶♂️🙂
That was chilly, no plan this mornings walk just, follow my nose and follow what path got me interested, which worked out quite well because I discovered that the board walk around Linacre top reservoir is not a board walk anymore but a solid gravel/stone path. I also found a bench above Gingers🐕bench which has an even better view over Chesterfield 🙂
