"... To the east of Remscheid-Lüttringhausen stands the Lüttringhauser water tower on Garschager Heide. It is easy to see from the A1 motorway, because it is located on a hilltop that rises 330 m above sea level. The water tower was built in 1914 It was used to supply the then still independent city of Lüttringhausen with water. It was in operation until 1973. After it had not been used for some time, the privately owned tower was converted for residential purposes. Today it is a listed building. ... "
