At the Panzertalsperre you can switch off wonderfully. It is part of the recreational area of Remscheid and is not far from a residential area. The dam was built in 1891 - 1893 to supply drinking water to the town of Lennep (today's district of Remscheid). It is the second oldest drinking water dam in Germany and is now used as a water reservoir for the regulation of the water supply (flood protection and water delivery in the dry season). Since during the time of drinking water use very rare animals and plants have settled on the dam, the protection of the direct access to the shore area is not permitted and the dam is fenced to this day.

A slightly smaller loop, you have the best view on the dam, otherwise you will not see so much.

From here it is not far on a hike to the historic old town of Remscheid-Lennep.
