Beyenburg has beautiful half-timbered houses with slate, it is a lovely place. The Way of St. James leads through, and the Church of Mary Magdalene is also stamp office for pilgrims.

The reservoir is also popular with water sports enthusiasts such as paddlers and rowers.

The lake is always busy in spring and summer by paddlers and rowers. You can watch them wonderfully. On the edge there are rest stops. The village is also wonderful to see with its beautiful half-timbered houses.

    Beautiful town!
In the lake is also one of Wuppertal salmon mines since you have installed a fish ladder

The reservoir Beyenburg is simply picturesque. You can walk around it in a leisurely walk. If you want more, you can still go on the Bilstein.

The view from the lake and the rocky path down by the river convey complete mountain happiness for a little break in between

You can take stairs here, as we can see on the extremely spacious, fish-friendly fish ladder, which enables migratory fish such as migrating salmon to enter the Beyenburg reservoir.
