The historic old town of Dinkelsbühl is still completely surrounded by its city walls. In the small town on the Romantic Road, three quarters of the houses are over 350 years old. Many of them were built directly onto the wall. Gardens nestle picturesquely against the city fortifications on both sides, small ponds decorate the moat and along the total length of 2500 meters you can find the twenty towers and four city gates, almost unchanged since the Middle Ages.
