    Very entertaining for children

The "Roman Tour" is 5.7 km long and leads from the Roman open-air museum "Villa Rustica" in Stein through the forest up to Bechtoldsweiler. Wide views of the Alb plateau, the castle and the Ehrenwald playground are passed. Downhill again, the tour leads past the Bechtoldsweiler cemetery and above the Roman estate back to the starting point. The path leads past stations and beautiful wooden sculptures. Interesting and entertaining for children, worth hiking.

The "Roman Tour" is 5.7 km long and leads from the Roman open-air museum "Villa Rustica" in Stein through the forest to Bechtoldsweiler. Far-reaching views of the Alb plateau, the castle and the Ehrenwald playground are passed. The tour leads back downhill past the Bechtoldsweiler cemetery and above the Roman estate back to the starting point.
The route is mostly gravel, sometimes rough. The (Roman) tour is therefore only partially suitable for prams. With an all-terrain pram (with pneumatic tires or with a bicycle trailer), however, the circular route is accessible. Also works very well with the stroller - the path width is always at least 2 meters.
The tour is signposted throughout. The local circular hiking trail is marked with the green signposts at the crossroads and the marker in the form of a yellow circle (e.g. on trees).
Pure walking time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes; calculated on an adult. We were traveling with 2 children - it took 2 hours 30 minutes
