The Ploegsteert Memorial to the Missing is also located at this location.
The Ploegsteert (often referred to in English as 'Plug Street') Memorial to the Missing is centrally located in the Bercks Cemetery Extension. The memorial, with a diameter of 21 meters and a height of 11.73 meters, was unveiled on June 7, 1931.

The memorial lists 11,447 missing Commonwealth servicemen from the following battles in the surrounding area: Armentières, Aubes Ridge, Loos, Fromelles, Estaires, Hazebrouck (part of the Battle of the Lys), Scherpenheuvel (also part of the Battle of the Lys), and Outtersteene Ridge.

The memorial reads: "To the glory of God and the memory of 11,447 officers and men of the armed forces of the British Empire who fell in battle during the years 1914–1918 between the River Douve and the towns of Estaires and Furnes, whose names are recorded here, but who, unlike their dead comrades, were denied a known grave and an honorable burial by the circumstances of war."

The memorial also includes the names of three Victoria Croos honorees: Sapper William Hackett, Private James MacKenzie, and Captain Thomas Tannat Pryce.

Bercks Cemetery Extension was established in June 1916 by the Commonwealth Forces as an extension of Hyde Park Corner (Royal Bercks) Cemetery, which is located across the road. The cemetery was still small (only one plot) at the time of the Armistice. In 1930, it was expanded with plots II and III when it became clear that Rosenberg Chateau Military Cemetery and Extension could not continue indefinitely. The graves were therefore transferred to Bercks Cemetery Extension.

The impressive Ploegsteert Memorial to the Missing is located here.
