The Catholic Church of St. George and Catherine was mentioned as a chapel as early as the 14th century. The old organ and parts of the high altar come from the Eberbach monastery.
In 1953 the church was expanded to include the bell tower.

Hiking

The church is on the main street in Frauenstein, opposite the castle ruins. From the ruins you have a great view of the church. The old parish church with a late Gothic choir and roof turret was built in 1509, the new church was built in 1953/54 and joins the historic church at right angles.
