The brick chapel, built on a boulder foundation, was first built in 1568.
Inscription panels set into the walls remind of the founder, Anna von Möller, wife of the first lord of Heiligenthal, and of the renovations in 1837, 1922 and 1975.
The artistically valuable work of an unknown master is the baptismal font created in 1665.
The year of origin of the well-proportioned pulpit altar is not known.
The stalls and organ are very recent.
