Location. The 45.4 hectare Obere Güll nature reserve is part of the Hegau and Lake Constance basin. It is located in a small, shallow bay in the Überlinger See, directly southeast of the dam that connects the island of Mainau with the mainland and north of the Egg district, at an altitude of 400 m above sea level.
