Hiking
Together with its retention basin, it was expanded around 1934 during the Great Depression as a job creation measure by a voluntary labor service, which should facilitate the drainage of the moor. There is a memorial stone for the voluntary labor service south of the retention basin.
Large parts of the Raakmoorgraben existed before 1934, which can be seen on a map from the 19th century. The Hummelsbütteler Moorgraben, now a tributary, formed the beginning
