The Morsum Cultural Association has built this boat with five life-size figures in the mid-1990s and it has since belonged to the townscape of Morsum. The trick is that the five-person crew once wearing fisherman's shirts or frieze ores and rain pants.

The ice boats were the main means of transport in long winters before the construction of the Hindenburgdamm and thus the connection to the mainland.
