In the middle of the Pajottenland lies the charming Coloma Estate, with an 18th-century moated castle, winding paths and the largest rose garden in Europe. More than 3,000 rose varieties from 25 countries bloom here in perfectly landscaped garden rooms, with the castle and the old garden pavilion as a romantic backdrop. In every season, the estate offers a fragrant, colourful and relaxing experience.

Domain Coloma is a park and castle domain in the Belgian municipality of Sint-Pieters-Leeuw. The castle of Coloma and the rose garden are located on the domain.

The largest building in this park is Coloma Castle. It has already been renovated twice.

After the castle served as the seat of Lion in the 16th century, Charles-Vital de Coloma became the owner of the castle in the middle of the 18th century. This was due to his marriage to Baroness Eugenia Roose. He had the building completely renovated from a fortified castle to an 18th-century castle. What he did retain about the castle was the water around it. The castle and the entire domain remained in the possession of this family until the death of Countess Antoinette, the granddaughter of Jean-Marie van der Dilft de Borghvliet.

The municipality of Sint-Pieters-Leeuw bought the then dilapidated castle. The municipal cultural center was established there after thorough restoration. The bridge railing of the castle was built by the Belgian sculptor Patrick Crombé.

Other buildings are the tavern "De Koetsier", which was used as a coach house in 1731, and the rose museum (the former garden pavilion) with an explanation about the history and construction of the rose.

It is very nice to walk and stay here when the roses are in bloom.
