Since the summer of 2009, urns can be buried in a small wood at Vienna's central cemetery without any further laborious maintenance. Twelve urn graves each lie symmetrically around an old tree, with urn number 12 always being exactly to the north. Thus it is possible to clearly assign each grave site, also on the basis of plans.

The burial takes place after the cremation in an urn near a selected tree. No lawn is mowed in this area and no shrubs are cut. Pure nature remains in this section.
