At 543 m above sea level, the Rabenstein (the Rabensteine) lies directly on the ridge of the Zittau Mountains.
In 1877, Adolf Clemens Fähnrich from Nieder-Lichtenwalde built an inn here, the Rabenstein-Warte, which he continually expanded. In 1880, he made the higher of the two rocks next to the inn accessible via a wooden staircase with a viewing platform and named the rock Ritterstein.
The large summer terrace was added in 1882, but after a fire on August 19, 1885, a complete rebuilding of the entire inn was necessary, which was not completed until 1887. According to postcards from 1907 and 1908, the inn was called Bergwarte Rabenstein at the time.
Further additions and conversions followed due to the increasing number of visitors, and finally the Berghotel Rabenstein offered overnight accommodation all year round. After the expulsion, the building was no longer used and gradually fell into disrepair. After the border exclusion zone was established, the building was demolished. Remains of the foundations and wall fragments are still clearly visible today.

The Krkavčí kameny (Raven Stones, 543 m) are located on a small wooded hill on the Bohemian-Saxon border about 100 m to the left of the path connecting Dolní Světlá (Niederlichtenwalde) with Jonsdorf. On the west side, the hill drops down with a steep slope about 12 m high, and on its summit there are two sandstone rock towers. The larger sandstone tower on the German side is called the Falkenstein (Sokol), and the smaller rock on the actual summit of the hill on the Bohemian side is now called Sokolík (Little Falcon) by mountaineers. This rock actually has two rock peaks, about 5 and 8 m high, in which two human heads or the heads of a lion and a horse were once seen.
