Eight paths from all directions converge at this place. The "Wegestern" is a popular point of orientation, meeting point and resting place. It owes its name to Prince Georg Albert, the first Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt prince who tried to establish industrial facilities in his principality. Anyone looking for the original George Oak will look in vain.
Unfortunately, she did not have a long life. But the name was retained and is still very vividly reminiscent of the prince. In spring 2012 a new "George Oak" was planted in the grove.
