The new Further Hut was opened in 1929 and offers a great view. It is located on the Tauern Westweg and the Arnoweg, and the Kratzenbergsee can be reached quickly below the hut. From the end of the valley (approx. 1,641 meters) it is also possible to transport backpacks using the material lift.

Beautiful old mountain hut that is definitely worth a visit. From the hut there are several beautiful further options, such as the Larmkogel. Definitely worth it.
For a multi-day hut tour, this hut can be combined with the Neu Thüringer Hütte, which can be reached via the Larmkogel pass.

Hiking

The Neue Fürther Hütte has a material lift for supplies. From the end of the valley (approx. 1,641 meters) it is also possible to transport backpacks using the material lift. After consultation with the hut manager, a taxi transport is possible from Hollersbach to the material cable car.

Register for backpack and taxi transport when booking the hut. For those who decide at short notice, please call +43 664 8606 787 at the latest on the Thurn Pass so that the waiting time is not too long.
