Friesoythe - city parkThe approximately 10-hectare landscape park was laid out along the Soeste within former swampy areas and is an oasis of calm in the middle of Friesoythe. The visitor can start his walk directly at the "Alten Amtsgericht" built in 1885, today's town hall at the city park.In the park with its old and young stock of trees and various ponds, sculptures and works of art by various artists can be admired time and again, such as the "angler" by the Arnsberg blacksmith Norbert Finke, who works at the large fish pond. More iron sculptures can be seen at 15 stations of the Iron Way of the Cross. The bell tower with the more than 400-year-old Friesoyther peace bell is worth seeing.
