About baeumchenmaler

Instead of choosing the more interesting RUHRPOTT6 tour, we opted for the 2 because we could start directly from the apartment and it was more about the landscape here.

However, the first short section via Heven to the entrance to the Rheinische-Esel was partly characterized by bad asphalt.

      A short stretch

For us North Germans, the outstanding features of this tour were of course the technology monuments Zeche-Zollverein and Landscape Park-Duisburg.

The "Slinky-Springs to Fame" bridge was underwhelming in daylight but nice to look at.

The cycle paths such as the Rheinische-Bahnradweg, the Schnellradweg-RS1

Of course, during the stopover in Wuppertal, the suspension railway had to be included in the photo archive. Of course, a delicious ice cream was also part of the program.

Instead of going on a bike tour in the heat, today we drove to Cologne in an air-conditioned hybrid vehicle, with the inevitable photos of the cathedral. On the way back we made a stopover in Wuppertal.

Today, after the third tour, I have to agree with Atze (Holger B.). In some places, the cycle path is an impertinence. The bicycle fords marked on the streets are still possible. But if they then end at the curb at the next junction and you suddenly have to merge into the flowing traffic, then it becomes

Hey folks, have you ever managed to do it, started a round trip in the opposite direction? And if the sat nav always gives contradicting instructions, instead of turning right according to the display, it means turning left. Until you realize what's going on. So the route stopped and the direction reversed

Despite bad weather prospects, we set off to do our first tour in the Ruhr area.

We didn't regret it, because the weather gods had some understanding with us and only let us get away with a few drops.

Cycling on these great cycle paths that the Ruhrpott has to offer is a pleasure.

      We would also like to

Today it was pure nature again. But without taking great photos.

First through the Hasbruch, then along the Huder Bach to the monastery tavern for a small beer and further through a landscape characterized by cattle pastures for leisurely cycling along the Ollen. On the Weser, a stop at the Hasenbüren

That was once again a nice tour in our home region.

And who do I have to thank? Well, the makers of the TEA tour on wildegeest.de.

I took this tour as it is and only moved the starting point to Goldenstedt and made small corrections to the route, integrating the first 8 km accordingly.

      At this point I would
