Adlerhorst Observation Tower (Baumwipfelpfad Prora)

North of the picturesque seaside resort Binz rises in the middle of the dense coastal forest of Prora, the imposing wooden tower of the Natural Heritage Center Rügen. Just like in an eagle's nest, visitors here feel in the lookout tower of the same name, which, with a height of 40 meters, promises a magnificent view over the more than 10 kilometers long beach of Prora.
Here, the footpath spiraling over several floors spiraling in the air and surrounds first the massive trunk and then the expansive crown of a very old and 30 meters high beech. But before these impressive views open up to the visitor, this happens the large wooden amphitheater of the treetop path Rügen.

A nice way through the treetops. There is a lot to see and learn. The view from the Eagle's Nest is really great and almost covers the whole island.
Probably not so pleasant in the rain. Keep strong at the top in strong winds.

On the 1,250 meter long treetop path of the natural heritage center Rügen visitors can expect different adventure stations, to which no visitor waits the tree-top path comic rally and the visit is crowned by the 40-meter high observation tower, whose viewing platform is 82 meters above sea level and thus one offers beautiful views over the island.
