The Hanstholm lighthouse was built in 1843 and electrified in 1889. It was the first lens lighthouse in Denmark and for some time the most powerful in the world.
It is also the highest in Denmark, and at 65 m above sea level you can see it far out on the North Sea. From the platform you have a wonderful view in all directions.translated by

Be sure to go to the lighthouse. The view of Klitmøller Bay, Jammerbug and Hanstholm is impressive. Especially good in storm from North West.

A narrow staircase takes you up 70 steps to the lighthouse and gives you a beautiful view of Hanstholm, the North Sea and the surrounding area.
