Mühlenteich Lehnin

As part of the "Lehnin footpath circular system", footbridges from the direction of Kurfürstenstrasse and Emstaler Landstrasse lead to this beautiful pier, which offers a wide view over the mill pond.

The mill pond is located directly in the center of Lehnin. Swans and geese can occasionally be observed from the small ark bridge. The lake can only be seen and experienced by visitors and residents in a few places. The local redevelopment plan envisages a footbridge that can be walked on on the bank, which is close to the town centre. Especially in the winter months, the lake is very popular for ice skating; Of course only if the temperatures allow it. The waters of the Mühlenteich itself are part of the "Lehniner Mittelheide and source area of the Emster" nature reserve.
