Huge bronze Buddha statue, accessible via 260 steps, above a museum with carved bell and other exhibits. For me it was a great trip from Hong Kong.

The Tian Tan Buddha (Big Buddha) is a bronze Buddha statue at Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island. She is the world's second largest freestanding Buddha statue in a sitting position. 268 steps lead up to the top of the mountain with the statue and the exhibition hall.

Access to the Buddha is free.

Usually one can see the Buddha far from the distance. I was unlucky with the weather though. The whole mountain with Buddha was shrouded in rain clouds; O)
