A brilliant descent! Excellent asphalt and little traffic, as Rathen is a dead-end street for cars. Be careful in Rathen; there are three large speed bumps in the road after entering the village, all made of rough cobblestones.

The climb is challenging, and especially at the beginning, you briefly think you can't go any further. But that quickly subsides, and then you're (almost) there.

Steep section at the outskirts of Rathen with sections of well over 10%. The very first piece really gets going. Then it gets a little better before it gets steep again. Then you have already made it and it continues pleasantly. Not very long but very steep.

I drive up here and via Rathmannsdorf back to the Elbe to shorten the long Elbe bend to Königstein. Of course, it also goes in the opposite direction.
