The origin of the board, the occasion, the sponsor or the year of its establishment are unknown. A connection to an execution site cannot be established either.
In 1939 the "Holzlager" labor camp was set up in the city forest on behalf of IG Farben. 1400 forced laborers were housed there. The humane, religious guiding principle of the board did not fit into the National Socialist worldview and it was taken down.
