Information:
Initial plans for the construction of a connecting line between the Frauenstein narrow-gauge railway and the Wilsdruff network were considered shortly after the turn of the 20th century. It was opened in sections between 1921 and 1923. Throughout its operation, it remained one of the least profitable narrow-gauge railways in Saxony, and freight service was discontinued in June 1971, followed by passenger service in September 1971. Today, a cycle and hiking path runs along parts of the former track.
