Former narrow-gauge railway embankment in the Tharandt Forest. A pleasant path along rock formations, the Colmnitz stream, over small bridges, etc.

The narrow-gauge railway ran here between Klingenberg-Colmnitz and Oberdittmannsdorf. Construction in the Tharandt Forest began in 1915. Under the direction of the newly founded German Reichsbahn, the line was put into operation in sections between 1921 and 1923. Throughout its entire operating period, it was one of the most unprofitable narrow-gauge railways in Saxony, so freight traffic was discontinued in June 1971 and passenger traffic in September 1971. Today, parts of the former route are used as a cycling and hiking trail.
