The Groß Boden watermill is a charming highlight in the Duchy of Lauenburg region. It is located directly on the mill pond and dates back to 1784. The mill has a partial half-timbering and had an overshot water wheel in operation until 1920. It was restored in the years 1983 to 2010 as part of a private initiative, and a functioning water wheel has been turning again since around 2004. A short detour from the main road is worthwhile to visit this historic watermill. The mill pond also offers a beautiful backdrop for a break during a bike tour.
