Hiking
Recreational fishing ponds were in days gone by the park pond of the lost castle Scherpentein. A must to unwind.

Hiking
The entire area currently looks a bit sad, but they are reportedly busy giving this side of the Benedenvliet in Schelle a makeover, starting with the recently restored church and the church square where these ponds are located nearby. It is a greener place that you can include in a walk in Schelle and/or to or from the abbey of Hemiksem, you are close to the bridge for walkers and cyclists to that abbey.
