  • Serooskerke is located between Middelburg and the beach of Vrouwenpolder. It is a typical Walcheren village with a small village center with church and church square and a number of farms around. Serooskerke, also called Seroos, can be recognized by the peripheral buildings and the massive tower of the 15th century St. John's Church. In the summer months, the meadows around Serooskerke are filled with horses. Equestrian lovers will have a lot of fun here!Around mill "De Jonge Johannes" is a children's playground equipped with many play equipment, an adventure course, a mini golf course, a cable car and a sand playground. Visit St. John's Church. This church was built in the 12th century and opens its doors to visitors every Wednesday and Saturday in July and August.Source:

  • The liberation monument in Serooskerke (municipality of Veere) is a bronze relief of a British commando in battle dress with a trumpet in his right hand (symbol for the Last Post). The relief is placed against a brick wall. A natural stone plaque with text is attached to the brick pedestal below. On the left of the plaque is the emblem of the 48th Royal Marine Comando and on the right the emblem of the 79th Armored Division (the buffalo head). A low brick wall runs on either side of the relief. Two plaques are attached to this wall on the left and one plaque with an emblem on the right.
