The former town hall, a two-storey half-timbered eaves house with a solid ground floor and profiled skylight walls, was built in 1801 as a residential building. In 1856 it was acquired by the municipality and converted into a school and town hall. A classroom was created; other rooms were used for the municipal administration. To emphasize the importance of the house, a roof turret with a clock and bell was added. It was not used as a school building until 1867, when the children of both denominations were taught together in the Christian community school; In 1950 a new school building was built next door. It served as the town hall until the municipal reform in 1971; after that the administrative office was housed for a few years. It has been used for residential purposes again since the renovation in the late 1980s.
