It is a simple, wooden lectern (often also referred to as a "speaker's desk" or forest pulpit), which is set up at ground level or slightly elevated. The wooden benches arranged in a semicircle in front of it use the same rustic style. Since everything is uncovered, meetings, readings, or the region's traditional forest services there take place exclusively in good weather. The ensemble thus blends in a minimalist and unobtrusive way into the natural forest landscape on the circular path of the Jacobiweiher.
