All the GDR radio stations were at home here: Berliner Rundfunk, Radio DDR, Deutschlandsender, Radio Berlin International, Voice of the GDR and DT64. Among other things, the transmission masts in Mahlsdorf-Süd and Königs Wusterhausen were broadcast. The masts in Mahlsdorf-Süd have now all disappeared, in Königs Wusterhausen there is still one for museum purposes. Since 1969, of course, the television tower in Berlin has also been broadcasting on Alexanderplatz.
