"In 1973 the fountain, suggested by Kurt Mohr and through the donation of a
made possible by patrons and built by the hiking department of the TSG (gymnastics and sports association) in Kaiserslautern in 1861. It is a running fountain, the water from which flows into the Letzbach. Centuries ago, people settled here in the small village of Lützelbach (mentioned in a document in 1222). The idea of a fountain was suggested by Heinz Becker. The TSG fountain was hewn in sandstone by stonemason Müller from Kaiserslautern.”
