A beautiful natural monument Georgsbrunnen on the Red Hollow

Located on the Rote Hohl, this fountain, which is connected to the Dansenberg water supply, was inaugurated in 1981. The mighty sandstone boulder is adorned with a cast bronze relief of the dragon slayer, designed by Brunhildis Roth. The red sandstone gave this place the name Rote Hohl. Centuries ago, a path from Kaiserslautern to the Aschbacherhof passed by this point.

Centuries ago, an old pass road from Kaiserslautern to the Aschbacherhof led here. Now this place is a natural monument, named after the red sandstone.
The St. George's Fountain has stood here since 1981 with a very high sandstone boulder bearing the relief of the dragon slayer St. George. (However, this is NOT a knight's stone from the Palatinate Forest Association!) Source: pfalz.de/de/gehenswuerdigkeit/bremerhof-rundwanderwege
