The sign at the Darmstädter Hütte says this is a 1.5h ascent on a red hiking trail which is patently incorrect. The ascent will take most people at least 2h (from the hut) and the trail should probably be a black trail. There are a couple of steel cable secured passages on the way to the Joch. On the way from the Joch to the Scheibler summit you'll definitely need your hands and there is some exposure. Trail markings to the top are not great but okay (at least in good conditions). Overall the summit is way worth it, there are fantastic views from the top and it should not pose a major problem to experienced hikers. Just be aware that the sign at the hut is somewhat misleading.
