Hiking

The oldest public green space in Harburg goes back to a royal Hanoverian officer, Major Ferdinand von Bissing. At the time, he was the deputy battalion commander of the nearby Schwarzenberg barracks. In 1835 he had his soldiers plant the northern slope of the dreary mountain in order to create a park-like area. Unfortunately, he had failed to get permission from the commanding general, which earned him a punitive transfer to Nienburg / Weser. In memory of the clumsy officer, a memorial was later erected in the park.

a beautiful, old park with interesting trees. In the middle of it a couple of memorials - and also a small arena where baseball is played (at least as seen this Sunday).
Strangely, I can't find anything on the internet about this park. Do I have tomatoes on my eyes?
